9 Ways To Remain Happy

  

It is not always easy to remain happy and positive in a world that thrives off hatred and negativity. I believe that happiness starts with you and it is a conscious decision that you make. Happiness is about the inside, everything inside your mind and not your surrounding. Here are some of the ways I keep negativity at bay and stay happy. 

  

  

Be Ambitious: Stay true to your dreams, no matter how unrealistic they may sound.

Forgive: Accept that apology that you did not receive because holding onto resentment and hate embitters the soul – and by that I mean, yours.

Love: Love yourself. There is nothing narcissistic about it. You can not love others until you learn how to love  yourself first.

Never stop learning: Learning does not only take place in the classroom. A boring life is one of no surprises – so seek adventure and inspiration from the things around you.

Be you:  Stay true to yourself, no one likes a copy. Be strong and wise enough to not define yourself by your relationships or the company you keep.

Take charge: Own it. If you are unhappy with your present, do not blame the world for your problems – solve it.

Travel: Do not worry about the money, just make it happen. Whether locally or internationally a change of scenery can be enlightening and inspiring.

Hug: Never underestimate the power of a hug.

Smile: More. Again. Do me that favour and smile as much as you can. Cliche, but a smile is a curve that sets everything straight.
